The SEM Discovery Days 2025 have wrapped up after an inspiring series of events across Germany, Austria and Belgium, bringing cutting-edge scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technology directly to researchers, engineers, and materials specialists.
This year’s concept built on the success of the 2024 Phenom SEM Tour – combining live demonstrations, real sample analysis, and expert-led lectures into one compact, practical program.
This event brought together quality leaders, laboratory professionals, engineers, and decision-makers united by a common goal: to explore how fast, reliable microscopy can enhance their daily work.
Participants had the chance to work hands-on with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Phenom XL G2 and Phenom ProX G6 desktop SEMs, experiencing first-hand how integrated EDS analysis delivers rapid, accurate material identification.
From asbestos detection and particle size analysis to wafer surface inspection, attendees saw how SEM can solve real-world analytical challenges.
One of the event’s unique features was the opportunity to bring and analyze real-world samples on-site, with direct support from application specialists. This personalized approach ensured every participant left with actionable insights tailored to their own work.
