Phenom SEM on tour 2024 recap

The Phenom SEM on tour 2024 was a huge success after visiting 17 locations across Europe. The event brought together professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts interested in learning more about scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and its many uses. IB-FT, Schaefer Tec (Austria, Germany, Switzerland), Benelux Scientific Belgium, Benelux Scientific Netherlands and France Scientifique organized the tour to make SEM technology accessible and practical for a wide audience.

During the event experts gave presentations on SEM techniques, coating methods, and EDX elemental analysis. They demonstrated the Thermo Scientific Phenom XL, showing its features and capabilities in action. Participants brought their own samples and learned how to analyze them during hands-on sessions. The event also encouraged networking, helping professionals connect across industries, exchange ideas, and tackle shared challenges.

Attendees engaged directly with SEM experts and application specialists, asking questions and receiving tailored advice. Demonstrations of tools like the LUXOR SEM coater showed how SEM technology could address real-world needs. Many participants left the event with practical knowledge about their samples and fresh ideas for applying SEM in their work.
